Drug trafficking investigation in Regina leads to another arrest for an Edmonton man

Regina Police have arrested an Edmonton man in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.

On Friday, police executed a warrant within the city, seizing roughly 460 grams of fentanyl, 700 grams of cutting agent, and over $1,500 in Canadian cash was seized, as well as food colouring, which is used in the cutting process.

34-year-old Mohamed Hassan is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime over five thousand dollars, and breach of release conditions.

Those release conditions stem from an investigation in March of 2020 in Regina, where Hassan was also charged for drug possession and possession of a loaded hand gun.

Hassan appeared in court Monday.
