The Regina Pats have named Logan Nijhoff the teams newest captain and 80th in franchise history.
Nijhoff, 19, has played parts of three seasons with the Pats, racking up 26 goals and 31 assists in 120 regular season games.

Nijhoff will have Kyle Walker and Ryker Evans as full time alternates, Carson Denomie will be an alternate for home games and Drew Englot will wear an “A” for away games.
The Pats open a shortened 24 game season with other WHL East Division teams on Friday against Prince Albert.
