Regina man facing charges after mailboxes were broken into in the city’s northwest end

A Regina man is facing charges after an investigation into mailbox break and enters that took place two weeks ago.

Police were notified of the mailbox break-ins at some apartment buildings on March 4 on the 100 block of Rink Avenue and the 1200 block of Galloway Street, both in the northwest end of the city.

Investigation led to the arrest of the suspect on Tuesday. A search warrant was also executed on a residence on the 7100 block of Bowman Avenue, just north of Dewdney Avenue, where police located mail with addresses listed that are not connected to the suspect.

36-year-old Michael Mayer of Regina faces 11 charges, including seven counts of break and enter, and one count of identity fraud.
