Two men are in custody after a search warrant executed by the Regina Police’s Drug Unit in relation to illegal drug trafficking and firearms offences.
The searches were conducted on a vehicle and a hotel room in the east end of Regina.
24-year-old Kolton Klotz, and 30-year-old Adriano Vecchioli were arrested after the investigation.
During the search, police found approximately 70 grams of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, cash, a loaded .22 caliber handgun, a 20-gauge shotgun, bladed weapons, and several other items used to support drug trafficking.
Klotz and Vecchioli have been jointly charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of cocaine.
Klotz has also been charged with the unsafe storage of a firearm, weapon dangerous to public peace, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a restricted firearm without a license, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order, possession of proceed of crime under $5,000, and breach of a release order.
Vecchioli has been additionally charged with possession of a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm knowing the serial number was removed, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, and 2 counts of breach of a release order.
Both men made their first appearance in court on Thursday morning.
