Those using Highway 11 in the Lumsden Valley will want to take note of some traffic restrictions that take effect Monday.
The northbound bridge over the Qu’Appelle River and the northbound overpass over Highway 20 will both be rehabilitated. The contractor, Westridge Construction Inc. from Regina, will begin work on April 13, 2021.
The project is estimated to cost $1.7 million and is scheduled for completion in the late fall.

Drivers may experience delays, as both bridges will be worked on simultaneously with traffic restricted to one lane at each site. As a precaution, traffic will be slowed to 80 km/hr before entering the valley and restricted to 60 km/hr through the construction site. Speed fines will remain tripled so motorists are advised to take extra caution with speed when entering the valley. Oversized loads will be accommodated by the contractor once the Highways Hotline is given 24 hours-notice.
