Work to begin shortly on $22-million fertilizer centre west of Regina

Construction is about to start on a $22-million fertilizer supercentre near Belle Plaine, west of Regina.

Project lead, Terry Drabuik, says construction will begin early this month on the Genesis fertilizer facility.

He says the facility will offer a wide range of fertilizer options for farmers.

The facility, owned by more than 650 farmer investors, is expected to be open for spring 2022.

Drabuik says seven other prairie fertilizer facilities will also be built.
