The Riders first-round pick from last week’s draft is getting a look in the NFL.
TSN CFL insider Farhan Lalji reports that Nelson Lokombo and 5th-round pick Logan Bandy will work out with the Washington Football Team on Thursday.
#Riders draft picks Nelson Lokombo & Logan Bandy are headed to DC to work out for #WFT tomorrow, ahead of the team’s mini-camp that begins on Friday. They could still earn mini-camp invites. Teams are only allowed to bring in max 5 undrafted/signed players to mini camps this year

The Riders chose Lokombo 2nd overall in last week’s draft. His play with the Saskatchewan Huskies earned him the 2019 President’s Trophy as the top defensive player in USports football.
Bandy was the 38th pick, out of the University of Calgary. The 6’5″, 285 offensive lineman was in the top-20 of the CFL Scouting Bureau’s rankings in fall, winter and spring as well.
