Special Weather Statements are in place across most of Saskatchewan Tuesday morning, including for Regina, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, Swift Current and Prince Albert.

Environment Canada says a ridge of high pressure will bring daytime highs into the low to mid 30’s for the rest of the week, starting Wednesday.

A reprieve from the hottest temperatures is expected this weekend, however, temperatures will remain warm into early next week in the southeastern prairies.

“Heat Warnings may be issued in the coming days as needed,” the Weather Office said.

Thursday looks to be the hottest of the days, at least for Regina and Moose Jaw, where the mercury is currently forecasted to climb to 35C.

The normal daytime highs for Regina and Moose Jaw this time of year are around 22C.
