A Moose Jaw child is in hospital after a possible drowning.

Just after 5:30 pm Friday, Emergency Services responded to Wakamow Valley after it was reported a youth had been swimming and had gone underwater and could not be located.

The youth was found in medical distress. STARS ambulance attended to the scene and transported the youth to a Regina hospital.

The identity of youth is not being released at this time.
