The Saskatchewan governments Climate Resilience Measurement Framework outlines status on 25 issues to cope, adapt and recover from climate change and stress.
Environment minister Warren Kaeding says the majority of measures are in good standing, with none in poor standing.
He says the province continues to identify areas that may require more preparation.
Examples of improvement in 2020 include a four percent increase in agricultural land area with a 4R nutrient stewardship plan, almost 26 percent of the province’s generated electricity came from renewable energy sources, up 1.6 percent since 2019.
Another climate change improvement is a 13 percent increase in the number of wildfire operational pre-plans at at risk northern communities.
All measures under economic sustainability and human well-being are in good standing.
