The CFL’s board of governors are reportedly ready to meet June 14 with a decision being made on starting the season August 5.

The report from TSN’s Dave Naylor says if the date is approved, a schedule will soon follow.

In April, plans were announced for a shortened 14-game season with the Grey Cup being played in Hamilton December 12.

The CFL has not been on the field since the Winnipeg Blue Bombers won the 2019 Grey Cup as the 2020 season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
