Three Saskatchewan farm groups are getting 1.5 million dollars in federal-provincial funding over the next two years.
The funding goes to Farm and Food Care Saskatchewan, Agriculture in the Classroom and 4-H Saskatchewan.
Agriculture minister David Marit says the funding is designed to build support for local food production and develop the next generation of farm leaders.
He says it is important to build public trust in agriculture and these organizations are taking those steps.
The support includes $300,000 for Farm and Food Care Saskatchewan, $600,000 to 4-H and $610,000 to Agriculture in the Classroom.
