Canadian Blood Services is looking for donations in the Regina area.

They have 150 appointments available over the July 1st long weekend, and would like them filled to ensure a steady supply of blood for Canadians.

Territory manager Aaron Barlow says log weekends typically lead to a drop in donation appointments.

“They’re pre-occupied, they got other things going on, they’ve got destinations they want to get to, so around long weekends we see a little bit of a decrease in the appointments, and we need people to make appointments and keep their appointments so we can ensure we have a healthy inventory of blood and blood products for Canadian patients,” said Barlow.
