One man is dead after a collision between a semi-truck and a pickup truck on Highway #1, just east of Qu’Appelle.

The 74-year-old male driver, and lone occupant of the pickup, was pronounced dead on scene.

No injuries were sustained by the driver of the semi.

Initial investigation indicates the eastbound semi and the northbound pickup collided, resulting in both vehicles leaving the roadway entering the ditch south of Highway #1.

A portion of Highway #1 was closed for a time, but has since been re-opened.
