Regina’s Kim Walker wins second Saskatchewan Senior Women’s Championship

Wascana Country Club member, Kim Walker won her second Senior Women’s Golf Championship on Thursday, at The Legends Golf Club in Warman.

Walker, was the only one to shoot under par in the final round with a one under, giving her a 54 hole total of 222 (six over) eight strokes ahead of  Lorie Boyle from Moose Jaw.

Walker is now hoping to lead the Saskatchewan contingent into the Canadian Senior Women’s Championship on August 31, in Quebec.

Weyburn’s Rick Hallberg won the men’s title for the third time in four years, shooting 71,65 and 66, for a three day total of 202, 13 strokes ahead of Lavern Arndt and George Janson.

He won the mid-masters (40 years and over) championship as well.
