Riders home opener officially sold out

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced something we all expected; their first game at Mosaic Stadium in 21 months will be sold out.

The Riders will host the B.C. Lions to open the delayed 2021 CFL season Aug. 6 starting at 7:30 PM. Fans are encouraged to be seated by 7:15 PM as there are special pre-game ceremonies planned for the game. There are also plans for special ceremonies during half time according to the team.

“The commitment our fans have to their Saskatchewan Roughriders never ceases to amaze me,” President and CEO Craig Reynolds says in a statement. “I know I speak for our entire team across the business office and football operations when I say, ‘Thank You, Rider Nation.’ We can’t wait to see you on your feet cheering when we ‘Bring Em Out’.”

The Riders still have plenty of seats available for their Aug. 14 game against Hamilton and their Aug. 21 game against Ottawa. However, the Riders say the Labour Day Classic against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers is nearing a sell-out.

620 CKRM is proud to be the home of Saskatchewan Roughriders Football. Our pregame coverage on Aug. 6 begins at 4:30 PM.
