24 new COVID-19 cases in Sask

After climbing up in July, the province’s active COVID-19 case is starting to go down again.

On Tuesday, the province announced 24 new cases of the virus with the active case count sitting at 449.  That is a drop of 47  in the past two days.

For a second straight day, none of the new cases come from the Regina zone.  The North Central zone had the most at seven followed by the Far North East and Saskatoon with four apiece.

There are 58 people in hospital.  10 of those 58 are in intensive care

The seven-day daily average is 24.

Only 775 vaccines were administered. 201 of those 775 were first shots.

The province says 75 per cent of those 12+ have received their first dose and 64 per cent of those 12+ are fully vaccinated.
