The Regina Pats have acquired 19 year old defenceman Luke Bateman from the Seattle Thunderbirds.

The Thunderbirds will receive a 6th round pick in the 2021 WHL prospects draft.

Bateman, who is 6-foot-6 and weighs 220 pounds,  was originally a 4th round pick of the Thunderbirds in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft. He has appeared in 83 games with 2 goals and 18 points.

Pats training camp kicks off on September 1st with the regular season opener set for October 2 at the Brandt Centre.
