Saskatchewan saw 85 new COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan on Sunday and many of them are represented by one demographic.   Out of the 85 cases, the government says over 37 percent of them are people aged 20-39. It also says 74 of the 85 were in people who are not vaccinated with just five being partially vaccinated.

Saskatoon has the most new cases at 21 while Regina had just three.  Other new cases were located in the Far North West (9), Far North Central (1), Far North East (4), North West (5), North Central 8), North East (8), Central East (9), Regina (3), South West (8), South Central (3) and South East (1) zones.  There are now 1,038 active cases which is a slight drop from Sunday’s report.

There are 71 people in hospital. Of those 71, 12 are in the ICU. 75 percent of those in hospital are not fully vaccinated.

The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case number was 110.

There were 1,166 vaccines delivered on Sunday with 774 going to people who have now had both shots.
