Province records 190 new cases of COVID-19; most since mid-May

Saskatchewan is reporting 190 new cases of COVID-19.  That is the highest one-day number we have seen since May 15 when 199 cases were announced.  The active case count is now at 1,203 which is the highest it has been since June 5.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (26), Far North East (6), North West (10), North Central (14), North East (34), Saskatoon (40), Central West (4), Central East (20), Regina (14), South West (6), South Central (1), and South East (8) zones, and 7 new cases are pending residence information. Over 40 percent of the new cases are in those aged 20-39. Of the 190 new COVID-19 cases today, 159 (83%) were unvaccinated, 13 (8%) were partially vaccinated and 18 (9%) were fully vaccinated.

The seven-day daily average now sits at 129. It has not been at that number since June 4.

There are 86 people in hospital with 16 in the ICU.  Of those 86 patients, 65 are not fully vaccinated.

There were 2,841 vaccines delivered on Wednesday.  949 of those were first doses.
