Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole paid a visit to Saskatoon Friday in his effort to keep Saskatchewan blue this election.

When talking to supporters, he said the track record of the three other major parties are all the same, and that his party is the only choice.

“For years, the NDP and the Greens have helped Justin Trudeau cover up his scandals, prop up his government, his budgets. None of them have a plan to get Canada out of deficit,” said O’Toole. “In fact, those other parties love spending your hard-earned money just as much as Justin Trudeau does.”

He also highlighted the party’s newly released plan to encourage job creation.

“A Conservative government will pay up to 50 percent of the salary of new hires for six months when the wage subsidy program ends in October,” said O’Toole. “We will cover 25 percent of the salary of any new hire, with that support increasing up to a maximum of 50 percent, based on how long the new employee has been out of work.”

O’Toole was one of three main party leaders in the province Friday as Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh also made stops in Regina and Cowessess respectively.
