We are getting more information about an incident at a Meadow Lake campground that left two people dead Monday.

Police say it was a murder-suicide that was domestic in nature.

RCMP arrived at the Lions Park campground to find a 34-year-old woman from the Flying Dust First Nation dead outside a trailer with a 34-year-old man from the Thunderchild First Nation dead inside the trailer. Investigators have also determined a request for wellness check was made on the 34-year-old woman from someone concerned for her safety. Officers were in the midst of making inquiries into that request when they were called to the campground Monday afternoon after reports of shots being fired.
