Saskatchewan feeder cattle prices were mostly moving upward during the past week ending August 27.

The latest provincial cattle market summary says feeder steers saw the largest price rise in the 500 to 600 pound weight category, with prices improving 7 dollars 75 cents per hundredweight to average 229 dollars 50 cents per hundredweight.

Prices for feeder steers ranged from 267 dollars 50 cents for 300 to 400 pounds to 181 dollars 33 cents for the over 900 pound category.

Feeder heifers were mostly higher with prices ranging from 209 dollars 50 cents for 300 to 400 pounds to 174 dollars 67 cents per hundredweight for the over 800 pound category.
