Saskatchewan’s Chief Coroner says the upcoming inquest into the death of Samwel Uko will be delayed.

In a release, the postponement is due to the new COVID-19 protocols announced Thursday, adding the decision was reached in consultation with all the parties involved.

It adds Uko’s family has been notified of the decision.

The inquest is to be rescheduled at a later date when the health and safety of everyone can be guaranteed.
