10-day low for daily COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan with 372

The provincial government has announced 372 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan on Tuesday. That’s a 10-day low according to the provincial dashboard. 

The new cases were located in Saskatoon (50), Regina (49), the north central (46), the north west (42), the far north east (41), the south east (18), the central east (17), the south west (14), the south central (14), the central west (13), the north east (11), the far north west (nine), and the far north central (three).

Tuesday’s total brings the seven-day average of daily new cases with 474.

Five more people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 646.

There are 336 people who have recovered from COVID-19. The active case count is up slightly to 4,700.

Hospitalized cases continue to increase. There are 262 patients in hospital with COVID-19, including 54 in ICU across the province.

Another 3,741 tests were processed Monday in Saskatchewan, which is down by 199 from the day before.

There were 840 new doses of COVID vaccines administered in Saskatchewan. Exactly half of them — 420 — were first doses.
