Another day of daily COVID-19 cases over 400

The provincial government has announced another 460 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan according to their provincial dashboard. 

The new cases are located in Saskatoon (123), Regina (59), the north west (53), the south east (47), the south west (38), the north central (36), the central east (28), the south central (18), the far north east (10), the far north west (eight), the north east (eight), the central west (six), and the far north central (five).

The seven-day average of daily new cases is at 470, and the daily new cases per 100,000 people is 39.0.

Seven more people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, raising the death toll to 658.

While 444 people have recovered, the active case count continues its upward trajectory, now at 4,715.

There are 273 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 58 in ICU.

Another 3,874 tests were administered and processed.

The number of new COVID vaccines administered is up significantly Thursday, with a total of 4,933. That includes 2,836 first doses.
