Frost advisories in effect for parts of west-Saskatchewan

As the overnight low drops closer to zero degrees every night, Environment Canada expects some areas to go below zero Thursday night in Saskatchewan.

Their public alerts map shows many areas of the province — such as Swift Current, Assiniboia, Prince Albert and The Battlefords — are under frost advisories. Other areas of the province can expect patchy frost with the temperature at or near zero degrees Celsius.

Environment Canada is reminding residents to take precautionary measures for frost-sensitive plants and trees.

According to Thursday’s crop report, many crops in Saskatchewan have already developed passed the stage of being impacted by frost.
