Over 500 cases of COVID-19 reported in Saskatchewan Friday

The COVID-19 case count today is up over 500 cases again, with the province reporting 528 new cases Friday on the COVID-19 dashboard.

The new cases come from Saskatoon (96), the north west (96), the north central (57), Regina (48), the far north west (37), the south east (34), the south central (32), the south west (28), the central east (20), the far north east (18), the north east (16), and the central west (15).

Five more people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, pushing the death toll to 663.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is now at 478, while the seven-day average for daily new cases per 100,000 people is 39.7.

Another 503 people have recovered, but the active case count is up slightly to 4,734. Saskatoon accounts for 1,095 of those active cases, while Regina has 515 active cases.

There are 276 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 61 patients in ICU across Saskatchewan.

Another 3,957 tests were conducted and processed on Thursday.

When it comes to COVID-19 vaccinations, another 5,066 doses were administered, with 2,910 first doses reported.

A total of 725,237 people in Saskatchewan are fully vaccinated.
