Charges laid after Wednesday’s hit-and-run in Regina

A 20-year-old Regina man faces charges after allegedly hitting three people in his vehicle late Wednesday morning.

Regina Police were called to the intersection of Victoria and Arcola Avenue at around 11:45 AM, where a vehicle was struck by another vehicle from behind. When the struck driver exited his vehicle, he and two witnesses were struck by the same car — which turned out to be a stolen vehicle — before the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

The driver of the suspect vehicle was located shortly after and was arrested.

20-year-old Larz Okeeweehow faces eight charges, including three counts of attempted murder. He made his first court appearance yesterday.

The initial victim remains in critical condition. The other two victims sustained injuries described as non-life threatening.
