271 new COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan on Tuesday

271 new COVID-19 infections are being reported by the province on Tuesday as well as eight more deaths bringing the provincial death total to 793.

The new cases are are located in the Far North West (9), Far North East (11), North West (30), North Central (32), North East (3), Saskatoon (82), Central West (1), Central East (22), Regina (35), South West (6), South Central (2) and South East (10) zones and 28 new cases have pending residence information.  The active case count continues to tumble downward as it sits at 3,434 after being at 3,670 on Monday.

There are 335 people in hospital including 83 in the ICU.  Of those 335, 251 were not fully vaccinated

1,188 vaccines were put in the arms of Saskatchewan people of Monday.  732 of those went to people who have now had both shots.  That puts the provincial total at just under 769,000 people.
