Public Health Order extended to Nov. 30

The provincial government has extended the public health order that requires masks to be worn in all indoor public spaces and isolating when positive with COVID-19.

It was reimplemented in mid-September after case counts soared in Saskatchewan and daily vaccinations slowed. The public health order was set to expire Wednesday.

The new orders are extended until Nov. 30.

Masks are exempt from gatherings in private homes or living spaces, and youth participating in sports do not have to wear masks while taking part in their activity.

Those who test positive for COVID-19 are to immediately self-isolate for 10 days after they began experiencing symptoms. Those who are deemed a close contact of a COVID positive individual also have to self-isolate unless they were fully vaccinated at the time of exposure.

The public health order that requires proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test has also been extended until Nov. 30.
