Applications open for Sask Agriculture student scholarship

The Moe government says applications are now being accepted for the 2022 Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship Program.

Agriculture minister David Marit says the scholarship program strengthens the farming sector.

This year’s theme is transparency and applicants are encouraged to explore what transparency is and its connection with public perception of modern agriculture.

The scholarship encourages discussion about where food comes from and communication along the value chain.

Students are invited to submit a 3 minute video or one thousand word essay.

Scholarships will be awarded to students in Grade 12 or recent graduates entering agriculture-related post-secondary studies in 2022.

One winning scholarship of 4 thousand dollars and 3 runner-up scholarships of 2 thousand dollars will be awarded.

The deadline to apply is March 1st.
