Agriculture Minister David Marit said he had productive meetings with his U.S. and Mexican counterparts this past week.

Saskatchewan co-hosted the virtual high-level meeting with officials from the three countries.

Marit said farm trade is important between the three nations, and especially for Saskatchewan.

Marit added there was discussion on regulatory harmonization and Canada’s revised improved risk status for BSE.
