Pats defenceman Ryker Evans is being recognized for his play in a pair of wins over Swift Current this past weekend by the Western Hockey League.
On Monday, the league named the 19-year-old from Calgary as its player of the week.
On Friday, October 29, Evans was a +2, and registered three shots on goal as the Pats won 4-1 at Swift Current. He followed that up one night later by having a goal and three assists in a 7-3 win. That was the first four point game of his career.
Evans, who was a 2nd round draft pick of the Seattle Kraken in the 2021 NHL draft, has 11 points in 11 games this season.
The Pats are home Wednesday to Moose Jaw.
