More injury trouble for Riders

While one player could be coming off the six-game injured list, more Riders may soon take his place.

Defensive Tackle Garrett Marino is a “maybe” to play this week, according to Riders Head Coach Craig Dickenson. Marino just finished his spell on the six-game list with an injured knee. That’s the good news.

The bad news is that the Riders don’t know how bad Receiver Kyran Moore’s knee injury is.

Moore left last weekend’s game and was spotted on crutches on the sideline. Dickenson said they hoped to learn more about the severity of the injury late on Tuesday.

Defensive End AC Leonard left practice early with a back problem. Receiver Duke Williams followed an hour later with a hamstring problem. And then Centre Dan Clark rolled his ankle, and had to leave practice late in the day.

It’s too early for the Riders to know the status of those three. They still have two full days until game day–Friday night in Edmonton.

For last week’s game the Riders had a league-high 17 players on the six-game injured list.

Ricardo Louis was back with the starting receivers in place of Kyran Moore. Louis has played in six games this season, making 14 catches for 178 yards with two touchdowns.
