Two members of Pats coaching staff attending Hockey Canada event

Two members of the Regina Pats will be taking part in a Hockey Canada event in Ottawa later this month.

Assistant Coach Brad Herauf and Director of Hockey Operations Landon Watson will be at the Capital City Challenge, a four-team tournament featuring three men’s under-17 teams and the national women’s team.  The event will run November 26-December 1.

Herauf will serve as an assistant coach for Canada White by Hockey Canada while Watson returns as a video coach after being assigned to that position in 2020 before the event was cancelled due to COVID-19.

A total of 66 players were selected to wear the Maple Leaf. They will be divided into three teams – Team Canada Black, Team Canada Red and Team Canada White – and will compete against Canada’s National Women’s Team as part of its centralization schedule. The rosters for Team Canada Black, Team Canada Red and Team Canada White will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
