Three new deaths, 173 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan

There are 173 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday in Saskatchewan according to the province’s dashboard.

The new cases come from Regina (44), Saskatoon (28), the central east (23), the south east (18), the far north east (13), the north west (13), the north central (12), the south central (eight), the far north west (four), the central west (three), and the north east (one).

The seven-day average of daily new cases is down slightly to 154.

There are three new deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the death toll up to 866.

There are 199 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 51 in ICU.

There are 212 recoveries being announced, bringing the active case count down to 1,745.

Another 2,105 daily new tests were processed.

There are 3,601 new vaccines that were administered, including 1,041 first doses.
