U of R Rams wrap up 2021 season at home Saturday afternoon against Manitoba

A difficult season for the University of Regina Rams football team comes to an end Saturday afternoon at Mosaic Stadium.

The Rams — who are 1-4 on the season — welcome the University of Manitoba Bisons.

Win or loss doesn’t impact the final result for the Rams, who have lost three games by four points or less this season and have let leads in the fourth quarter slip away in each of those games.

The Bisons meanwhile are 3-2 on the season, but have lost two straight games. A win would possibly complicate the playoff picture in the Canada West Conference as the University of Alberta Golden Bears also sit at 3-2, while the University of Saskatchewan Huskies sit at 4-1.

The Bisons won the only other meeting between the two schools this season with a 21-17 opening week win over the Rams, who at one point led 16-0.

Opening kickoff from Mosaic Stadium is at 2:00 PM Saturday afternoon. 620 CKRM will have the game starting with the pregame show at 1:45.
