Hurricanes storm past Pats 6-1

The Regina Pats dropped their third straight game as they were defeated by the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-1 at the Brandt Centre on Saturday.

The Pats opened up the scoring in the first period with Tanner Howe picking up his 6th goal of the season.

Momentum began to shift halfway through the first period after the Hurricanes tied the game with Trevor Thurston’s shot deflecting off a Pats player and into the net.

Lethbridge scored three times in the 2nd period with Jett Jones, Logan Wormald and Logan Barlage providing the goals for the Hurricanes.

The third period would see the Hurricanes continue their dominance with Ty Nash and Justin Hall picking up the goals.

Matthew Kieper made 27 saves in the loss for the Pats.

With Agribition moving into Regina next week, the Pats will play their next six games on the road beginning on Saturday when they face the Warriors in Moose Jaw.

The next home game for the Pats will be Saturday December 4 when they entertain the Swift Current Broncos at the Brandt Centre.
