O’Toole removes Batters from Conservative national caucus

Saskatchewan senator Denise Batters has been removed from the Conservative national caucus one day after announcing a petition had been launched aimed at having a review of the leadership of Erin O’Toole,

In a statement from O’Toole Tuesday night, he said “ as the Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, I will not tolerate an individual discrediting and showing a clear lack of respect towards the efforts of the entire Conservative caucus, who are holding the corrupt and disastrous Trudeau government to account.

Batters felt a review was needed because  O’Toole “reversed core policies” without input from party members or caucus, and proceeded to lose the election.

Batters responded to the removal by going to her Twitter account

O’Toole’s decision will be a hot topic when the Conservative caucus meets Wednesday.
