Riders lose regular-season finale

The Saskatchewan Roughriders can now prepare for the playoffs.

Playing without several regulars in the lineup, the Riders lost 24-3 to end the season with a record of 9-5.

In his second career start, Isaac Harker struggled at quarterback throwing for 150 yards and two interceptions.  He says it obviously wasn’t the result he or the team was looking for, but it was nice being back on the field.

“It’s always nice to get on the field when you put so much time and energy into game planning and practicing so it felt good to get out there and play.” Harker said. “I thought there were some throws today that I wouldn’t have made two years ago and I saw other improvements in myself with this opportunity when it comes to how you progress. It’s just a matter of learning, studying and preparing for that next shot.”

Head Coach Craig Dickenson says there isn’t a lot he can take away from this game.

“There’s not a lot I can take away from it, but it wasn’t our best game.” Dickenson said. “I am not going to spend a lot of time other than just grade it and move on to Calgary.”

The Riders can now get ready for the Western semi-final.  They will be home to the Calgary Stampeders in a 3:30 p.m start on November 28.
