One dead in fatal collision near Gull Lake

A 76-year-old man has died in a fatal motor vehicle collision near Gull Lake (300 kilometres west of Regina).

The man from Shaunavon was parked when a southbound SUV collided with the parked vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The collision happened yesterday at 4:00 p.m. on Highway #37, nine kilometres south of Gull Lake.

The adult woman passenger of the parked vehicle and the adult male driver of the SUV were both taken to hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Highway #37 was closed but has since been re-opened. Swift Current Rural RCMP, along with a Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist, will continue the investigation.
