Connor Bedard invited to Canada’s World Junior selection camp

Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard has been invited to attend Team Canada’s World Junior selection camp.

Through 21 games this season the 16-year-old has 11 goals and 6 assists.

Bedard broke in the WHL last season as a 15-year-old with exceptional player status and put up 28 points in 15 games.

The year’s event will be in back in Edmonton and Red Deer, Canada will play it’s first preliminary round game Boxing day against the Czech Republic.

The last 16-year-old to make the team was Connor McDavid for the 2014 tournament, where he put up four points in seven games.

Thirty-five players were invited in total, including 15 from the WHL.
