City of Regina ready to celebrate 20th anniversary of Light the Lights Tuesday night

An annual holiday tradition will continue at Regina’s City Hall Tuesday night, with the 20th anniversary celebration of Light the Lights with Mayor Sandra Masters and City Council.

Along with the light up of City Hall, horse and wagon rides, live entertainment, ice creations and a visit from Santa will also take place.

Please note some changes to the event this year in the interest of safety due to the COVID-19 pandemic:

• Santa will not be available for individual photos.
• City Hall will be accessible for washroom use only. Heat lamps will be on site but please dress appropriately for the weather.
• Physical distancing and masks are appreciated and encouraged.

The following streets will be restricted to one lane for the duration of the event:

• Smith Street and McIntyre Street, between Victoria Avenue and 12th Avenue
• Victoria Avenue and 12th Avenue, between Smith Street and McIntyre Street

Everything gets underway at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
