Regina Police were contacted to an incident on Sunday evening that has led to weapon charges for a 53 year old Regina man.
A caller contacted police indicating that a man was in the backyard of the their residence on the 2000 block of Fleury Street.
When the suspect was confronted, he pulled what appeared to be a handgun out of his backpack. The resident went back inside to contact Police.
A short time later, Police were able to locate the suspect and discover a black handgun style pellet gun in the suspect’s pocket.
53 year old Kelly Jackson has been charged including possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to public peace.
He made his first court appearance on Monday.
