54 New Cases of Covid-19 in Saskatchewan

The province is reporting 54 new cases of COVID-19 today.

Of the new cases 17 are in the Regina area, 21 are in the Saskatoon zone, and 7 are in the Central East Region.

Hospitalizations are up by 1, bringing that total to 106 with 35 patients in the ICU

The active case count is up to 544 with 48 recoveries.

On the vaccine front there were 1644 doses issued including 963 individuals receiving their first dose of the vaccine.

There are no new deaths to report leaving the total at 941.

The threat of the Omicron variant lead Premiere Scott Moe to announce expansion of the province’s booster program. Residents 18+, with 3 months since their second dose are eligible to receive their booster as of December 20th, 2021.
