The death that occurred in a house fire earlier this week has been confirmed to have no criminal aspects related to it.

Firefighters and police were called to the home on the 1600 Block of Montreal Street shortly before 5:30 a.m. Monday where firefighters quickly brought the fire under control.

In search of the property, firefighters discovered a deceased adult male within the house. At that point, the investigation shifted to include a death investigation by police and the coroner.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
