Regina Police respond to break and enter incident

A 32 year old man from Regina is facing break and entering charges following an incident last night.

Regina Police were dispatched to a report of a break and enter on the 2300 block of Hamilton Street last night at around 9:30.

Evidence indicated that a man had broken into a building and had gone through vehicles in the parkade.

When police arrived they found the man in the parkade who took off running.

After a pursuit through the building, the man turned towards an officer and started to pull a metal object out from his sweater resulting in the officer deploying a Conducted Energy Weapon.

The man was then taken into custody without issue.

Investigation concluded with 32 year old Shane Asapace being charged with Breaking and Entering along with Possession of Stolen Property.

Asapace will make his first court appearance this afternoon.
