On Sunday at around 4:15 PM, Humboldt RCMP responded to a two motor vehicle collision three kilometers south of Lake Lenore as a SUV and car collided on Highway #368.

The lone adult woman driver of the car and the adult man driver of the SUV were pronounced deceased at the scene. Three passengers in the SUV were transported to hospital with injuries. No updates are being provided on their medical conditions. All individuals involved are from the Humboldt area.

An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and Humboldt RCMP continue to investigate. Highway #368 was blocked and a detour was in place for the duration of the on-scene investigation, and has since been re-opened. The Humboldt Fire Department also provided with assistance.

Lake Lenore is 30 kms northeast of Humboldt.
