Train derailment blocks Highway 20 in Craven

UPDATE – There were no injuries and are no public safety concerns after a CP train derailed in Craven around 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night, blocking a portion of Highway 20 near the Country Thunder grounds.

Dayna Anderson, Deputy Mayor of the Village of Craven, said the cars were hauling potash.

On it’s Facebook page the Village of Craven said alternate routes for traffic are highways 99 and 6, while the clean up continues.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation.

Craven is about 40 kilometres north of Regina.
